Youtube never fails to entertain me...

There are several remixes created from the original. I also suggest watching 'They are taking the Hobbits to Isengard' and 'Techno Viking Jumbo Hotdog' clips as well.

Biological Age: 33
Real Age: 16
Average Life Expectancy: 74
My Life Expectancy: 91

16? Seriously... I guess proper diet, plenty of exercise, not smoking, and living a fairly relaxed life helps. Not that I would want to be 16 again.

Arrr mateys!

I can't let [info]manchester_red have all of the fun by posting youtube clips of his favorite films, so in keeping with the pirate theme of International Talk Like a Pirate Day today, I give you this sci-fi gem from 1984.

Back to the daily grind...

Aug. 24th, 2007 | 08:51 am

mood: blahblah

We're back from our travels, and no problems with the airports, security, flying, or otherwise. In fact, JJ used her chipper personality and slight Texan drawl to get us a free upgrade for our rental car. Chances are the rental company didn't have the car size we reserved, but I think a smile and being nice to the lady behind the counter helped.

Sadly, It rained most of the time which messed up some of our potential outdoor activities, but we still got to gather with family and friends for food (obviously), laughter, and hugs. I didn't realize how much I missed them...Happiness is firing up the outdoor grill and putting out more food than you can hope to consume in one sitting, catching up with current events, remembering the good times, and giving each other hell with sarcastic, but loving, comments as most families do.

Shakey - Yes, we have a 3oz./100 ml. limit for liquids in carry-on bags, and they must be in clear/opaque plastic containers and placed inside a plastic zipper bag, etc... which is silly, and yes we refrained from winking. ;-)

Back at work and trying to catch up from the week. Bleh...damn jet lag.

This is why I dislike flying...

It's been a long time since I've posted my LJ friends, and for that I apologize. It has been a busy summer and hopefully I'll be more active in posting in the coming months.

As JJ and I prepare to fly out of town tomorrow for a semi-vacation to visit my family and celebrate my mother's 60th b-day next week in Detroit, Michigan, I see this headline posted on a news website: "New airport agents check for danger in fliers' facial expressions."

Seriously?
